Learning Areas
Practical Life Skills
Children continue to develop practical life skills through more complex activities such as food preparation, gardening, and care of the environment. They learn to use tools safely and effectively and engage in activities that promote independence and responsibility.
Sensorial Exploration
Children explore more advanced sensorial materials, such as the binomial cube and trinomial cube, to further refine their perceptual skills. They engage in activities that promote visual, auditory, tactile, and olfactory discrimination.
The Arts
The Visual and Performing Arts programs inspire creativity and self-expression in our children. Through hands-on activities in music, dance, drama, and visual arts, children develop motor skills, confidence, and communication abilities, fostering a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
Literacy and Language
Children engage in more advanced language activities, such as reading and writing simple stories and exploring basic grammar concepts. They participate in group discussions, storytelling, and creative writing activities.
Numeracy and Mathematics
Children explore more complex mathematical concepts, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and early division, through hands-on materials like the golden beads and the stamp game. They engage in activities that promote problem-solving and logical thinking
Quest Program
The Quest Program is an in-house inquiry program that allows children to explore topics in science and social science in depth. Children engage in hands-on activities, experiments, and research projects to investigate topics that interest them. They engage in short projects, experiments, and field trips to deepen their understanding of the world around them. They develop critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and a love for learning through the Quest Program.
Continuous Assessment
Our children engage in continuous assessments through carefully designed performance tasks and educators observe their interactions with materials and peers. They provide regular feedback to families and collaborate with them to support the child’s growth and development.
Transition to the Senior Program
The Junior Program prepares children for the opportunities of the Senior Program. By the time they complete the program, children will have developed a strong foundation in practical life skills, sensorial exploration, advanced concepts in language development and mathematics, and the Quest Program. They will have honed their social skills and positive behaviour through collaborative learning and developed a love for learning and exploration.
